Jaguar Action News Application
Rising 7th and 8th graders, if you are interested in joining news crew during the Fall 2026 semester, please read the following information VERY carefully and complete the application by Friday, May 15th at 4 PM.
News Crew members will help with the following broadcast jobs: graphic design, cameras, teleprompter, advertising, sound, lights, props, direction, and anchors.
VERY IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
News Crew will consist of 20 students. BLUE CREW will meet and broadcast the news during the first quarter of semester 1 (August 5-October 9), and GRAY CREW will meet and broadcast the news during the second quarter of semester 1 (October 19-December 18).
Meeting Days & Times:
On Mondays and Wednesdays, we will meet from 8:15 AM-9:15 AM. From 8:15 AM-9:00 AM, we will work on segments, graphics, and rehearse for the live broadcast. From 9:00 AM-9:15 AM, we will be live for the Jaguar Action News Morning Show. You will need to be dropped off early on these days.
On Fridays, we will only meet for the live broadcast from 9:00 AM-9:15 AM. You will be able to ride the bus to school on Fridays.
Please check with your parents to make sure you can be dropped off early by 8:15 AM on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Attendance is extremely important! Please be sure you are able to commit to attending News Crew on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15 AM-9:15 AM and on Fridays from 9:00 AM-9:15 AM.

The deadline to apply is Friday, May 15th at 4:00 PM.
Students will be notified prior to the end of the school year if they have been accepted on the News Crew.
